Mila Kunis and Her Pretty Eyes

Jul 23, 2018 | Blog Post, Celebrity Rumored Eye Conditions Blog, News

To continue this mini series, I will now discuss Mila Kunis and rumors surrounding her eyes. To paraphrase my Google search results, she has a “chronic iritis that caused temporary blindness in one eye”. She also developed a cataract and had a surgery to correct the problem where they “cut open and dropped a new lens in there”. As a result of her eye condition “her eyes are different colors” but after her surgery, she sees normally from that eye.

Putting all these tidbits together, Mila likely has a chronic low grade inflammation which usually only affects one eye and leads to subtle heterochromia (different colored eyes). Most likely, she has Fuch’s heterochromic iridocyclitis. This condition may be asymptomatic and have no complications. However, some complications of this condition may include glaucoma, new blood vessel growth in the front of the eye, an abnormal drainage structure in the front of the eye, and cataracts.

What likely happened to Mila’s eyes? It sounds like she had low grade inflammation affecting one eye that caused a change in eye color and an early-onset cataract to form. This cataract would cause reduced vision in the affected eye, however since only one eye is affected, she probably didn’t notice it. She probably learned of the cataract during an eye appointment which prompted cataract surgery which restored her vision in that eye.

I am hoping that Ms. Kunis is no longer dealing with complications of her eye condition. I think we can all agree that she would look beautiful no matter her eye color.
